Set in a beautiful glasshouse overlooking an 18th-century walled garden in a popular garden centre, we are a well-established 70-cover café known for our fresh breakfasts, seasonal lunches, homemade cakes, and relaxed atmosphere. What You’ll Be Doing:

• A responsible role in day-to-day kitchen operations during your shifts
• Prepare and cook high-quality cakes, pastries, breakfasts, lunches, and specials
• Maintain excellent food safety and cleanliness standards
• Ensure smooth service and great communication with front-of-house

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume café or similar kitchen
• Confident in running a pass section
• Passionate about cooking with fresh, local ingredients
• Well-organised and reliable under pressure
• Good communicator and natural team player
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (or willing to obtain)
• Experience with bakery/pastry work is desirable

Barista

Barista (Experience essential)

We’re on the lookout for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable BARISTA to join our friendly team at Stubbings Café – a popular spot located just outside Maidenhead, known for our welcoming atmosphere, delicious coffee and high-quality customer service.

About the role
You’ll play a key part in keeping our café running smoothly and ensuring every customer has a great experience. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Preparing quality barista-style coffees and hot drinks (experience essential)
• Serving customers at the till when required
• Waiting tables and clearing as needed to keep the café clean and tidy

We’re after someone who naturally puts customers first, pays attention to the little details and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. A proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team are a must. Whilst not essential, some commercial kitchen experience would also be beneficial.

What we’re looking for

• Previous barista experience
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, can-do approach
• Strong attention to detail and good time management
• Willingness to work flexibly, including at least one weekend day
• Own transport – we’re in a lovely rural location west of Maidenhead. There is a limited bus service but own transportation is advised.

The finer details

• Minimum 24 plus hours per week (6 to 8-hour shifts)
• Ideally Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday
• On-site parking available
• Immediate start available
