Café Chef – Day-time only

Join our friendly team at Stubbings Café, a 70-cover daytime café set in a picturesque rural location. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dishes using locally sourced ingredients, with a menu featuring breakfasts, light lunches, snacks, daily specials, Afternoon Teas, coffees, and homemade cakes.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dishes with stunning presentation.
- Design creative, seasonal menus and specials in collaboration with the Café Manager.
- Oversee stock control, reduce waste, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Passion for creating delicious, beautifully presented food.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage a busy kitchen.
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and safety standards.

Café Assistant with Barista experience
- Preparing barista coffee
- Serving customers at the till point
- Waiting and clearing tables
Candidates should be able to demonstrate an instinctive customer focus ethos. You will have a keen eye for detail, good organisational skills and a willingness to get ‘stuck-in’.
In addition to weekday shifts, you will need to be flexible enough to work at least one day at the weekend, approximately 18-20 hours. Due to the hours required, we are unable to consider applicants who are currently attending secondary school.
The Café is open all year round, 7 days per week, operating on a rota basis.
Own transportation is a must as the Café is out-of-town (to the west side of Maidenhead), and not located close to any public transportation links.

Kitchen Porter
We are seeking a friendly, efficient Kitchen Porter to contribute in all aspects of delivering excellent quality and service to our customers. You must have a high standard of cleanliness and be able to work in a high volume environment.
There is the opportunity to be involved in some food preparation and is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to learn and progress.
This is a part-time role – up to 24 hours per week.
